Red Dead Redemption 3 release date narrowed down by GTA 6

Red Dead Redemption 3 release date narrowed down by GTA 6

If you analyse the clues, it's easy to see when Red Dead Redemption 3 will launch

Could GTA VI be the key to predicting when the next Red Dead Redemption game will be released? After much analysis and discussion, the fans think so.

It wasn’t that long ago that Red Dead Redemption fans were arguing over whether a third game was even necessary after a large portion of gamers declared it wasn’t. From there, the debate over a female lead protagonist took hold, with the fandom seemingly forgetting that this might not be a game they need.

While most agreed that a female lead would be a welcome change should another game get made, the fans had little to inform them of what exactly Rockstar Games has planned for Red Dead Redemption 3. But now, some believe the release date for the third game has been narrowed down and it’s all thanks to GTA VI.

Speaking of GTA VI, make sure to watch the trailer

If you’re asking how, please allow us to explain. You see, by using the launch dates of previous games from both GTA and RDR, we can see that Rockstar has an average gap of three and a half years between them. Consequently, if you use that logic to predict RDR3’s release, it’s fair to assume that it’ll come out between 2028 and 2029.

We know that’s hardly conforming considering it’s been five years since the sequel released, and so we’re in dire need of knowing how this Wild West saga will end, but at least we’ll get the game before the next decade begins. Unless we end up waiting as long as GTA fans have since GTA V, then we might all be dead before RDR’s epic conclusion.

No matter how long we have to wait, though, there’s no doubt that Arthur Morgan will remain the greatest leading video game character of all time. So say all the fans, so it must be true.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to get our red string and cork board out to see what else we can piece together from the clues GTA VI has given us.
