Skyrim's most disturbing quest had a hidden good ending this entire time

Skyrim's most disturbing quest had a hidden good ending this entire time

It's impressive just how much is hidden in this RPG

How did we miss yet another secret after all these years?

I’m not even mad, I’m impressed.

When it comes to hidden nooks and crannies, Bethesda’s Skyrim is difficult to beat; Red Dead Redemption 2 comes close, but it's not quite there yet.

After 13 years of exploration, us Skyrim fans are still learning a thing or two about the game. It’s humbling, to say the least.

Skyrim really is the gift that keeps on giving

“There is actually an alternate ending to the House of Horrors quest, which is viable if you play a morally good character,” shared a fan over on Reddit.

Say what...?

We thought the stunning hidden quest we’d previously missed was impressive, but learning about this has succeeded in well and truly blowing our minds.

According to the OP, “You can simply defy Molag Bal by killing Logrolf after rescuing him. It fails the quest, but on the bright side, you went against the Daedric Prince and didn’t let him make you his new champion.”

They added, “I always assumed Logrolf was essential until Molag trapped him, but I guess not!” We’d made similar assumptions as well.

The revelations just keep on coming, thanks to another fan who explained, “You can also soul trap Logrolf, ensuring Molag Bal doesn't get it. Less morally good, considering you have to torture Logrolf though.”

It feels like we’ve failed in life learning all of this. Yet, it’s also given us renewed vigour to go back and test these hidden quest endings for ourselves.

A been a rollercoaster of emotions, people.

For those of you who are more focused on the future, we have news for you too (potentially); a fan believes they’ve found a teaser for the new Elder Scrolls VI hiding in plain sight.

It’s all happening, though some of it way more slowly than others. Still, we’ve got much to ponder about and to act on – back into Skyrim we go!
