If you want to win free Steam store credit you better be quick

Hands up if you want free money to spend on the Steam store how you please? If that is something that tickles your fancy you can win free store credit but you better be quick.

I think it’s fair to say that we all have a video game pile of shame, some extending to many years back but that won't prevent us from buying new titles to add to our ever-growing collection. Perhaps there’s even a new piece of DLC on PC that you’ve had your eye on, if so, by winning this Steam credit competition you can evolve your collection at less of an expense.

Check out the Rocket trailer below!

The competition in question is being run by Twitter user ErikPixel in collaboration with ZeNfAGames and it’s to promote the indie title Rocket. So, how do you win this competition, I hear you ask? All you have to do is follow the required Twitter accounts in the competition tweet, smash retweet and like, add Rocket to your Steam wishlist, download the playable demo and post a screenshot of your high score.

Rocket is a Bullet Hell, High Stakes Arcade Shooter & Score Chaser. Use your skills to survive the onslaught of asteroids, enemies, black holes and the chaos of rockets and bombs everywhere. Upgrade your ship over time and enjoy the challenge. How high can you score?” reads the description on the Steam store.

If you’re a lucky winner, you will win one of five $20 Steam store credit. Happy days! The competition was posted on 14 January 2024 with the warning that it ends in five days, meaning that at the time of writing this article, the competition will end tomorrow Friday, 19 January. So you better be quick to avoid disappointment.

Rocket is currently in its early access stage on Steam, so hopefully the full release will arrive at some point this year. In the meantime, be sure to download the free playable demo.
