Steam freebies: Bethesda drops a ton of free downloads, available now

Bethesda, you're spoiling us

QuakeCon is back, and it’s dropping a whole load of Bethesda freebies on Steam.

The in-person event, which was held in Grapevine, Texas, has finished. But that doesn't mean you’ve missed out. Running until 16 August, Bethesda fans can grab themselves a ton of free downloads, including DOOM Eternal bundles, courtesy of the QuakeCon 2023 Sale.

Watch the official Starfield trailer to prepare for its launch!

If you’re not a DOOM fan, don’t worry, as there’s also a Wolfenstein: Youngblood freebie, as well as three Rage 2 bundles. The full list is as follows:

  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood: Legacy Pack
  • DOOM Eternal: Lux Slayer Special Edition Set, Majestic Archvile Special Edition Set, and Nightmare Marauder Special Edition Set
  • Rage 2: Golden Weapon Bundle, Doombringer Bundle, and Apocalypse Weapon Bundle.

In addition to these awesome packs, which include animated avatars, cosmetic skins, and more, fans can also get huge discounts on their favourite Bethesda games. Fallout 76, Ghostwire: Tokyo, The Elder Scrolls, and Dishonoured are just a handful of titles you can get for £10 or less.

To access these Steam freebies, you need to have a fan Bethesda account and then opt in to receive emails. If you’ve opted in previously, all the content mentioned above will be waiting for you in-game, as confirmed by Bethesda on Twitter.

If none of the above take your fancy, there’s other freebies for you to enjoy during this event, like the remaster of Quake II. This first-person shooter is a 90s classic from Id Software surprise launched last week, much to the shock and delight of fans.

Sporting enhanced graphics, several expansions, including a brand new expansion for its release, Quake II is arguably bigger and better than ever before.

And while this event is running for a limited time only, with the launch of Starfield just around the corner on 6 September, it’s fair to say that Bethesda is working overtime to make sure its loyal fans are looked after while they wait.

QuakeCon 2023 Sale will run from 2 August until 16 August on Steam.
