Steam adds 6 new free games to download and keep this weekend

Steam is once again giving away free games that you can keep forever, perfect for filling out your library.

The past few months haven’t been short of new releases, like Starfield, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Lies of P. There are plenty more on the horizon too, like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which releases next month for PlayStation 5.

While new games are great, they can quickly clog up your backlog especially if they’re RPGs, plus games aren’t getting any cheaper either…

If you’re looking for some new, bite-sized games to play this week that won’t leave a scratch on your bank account, look no further than the latest free games currently being offered on Steam.

Check out the six Steam games below, and their descriptions, below.

GHARP- GHARP is a stealth-focused first-person shooter game about sneaking into a terrorist organisation to prevent an attack.

Soul of War: Legions- A strategy deck-building game with twists. It features 8-player PvP battles where you strategically outplay your opponents. It introduces fresh auto-chess gameplay.

Entropic Decay: Prologue- This is the free prologue version of Entropic Decay, a fast-paced, but slow-burn horror/action FPS inspired by games from the late 90s through the early 2000's. Enter volatile scenarios filled with danger, from both the living and the dead, where wits are as crucial as brawn…

Banter- The magnificent art of using wordplay, opinions, exaggeration, irony, sarcasm, and other comedic themes to have fun with your friends in VR.

Strongblade- Strongblade is a match-3 puzzle game where you play as Sean the Mouse. Travel through a captivating world filled with puzzles, outsmart cunning villains, befriend charming animals, and build unique camps.

CIPHER-8- A brain-twisting minimalist arcade puzzler where you push numbers into a grid and manipulate them with randomly drawn special abilities!

All of the above can be downloaded and kept for free, but they won’t be around forever, so better claim as soon as possible if you don’t want to miss out.
