Steam free download is GTA 6 meets Cyberpunk 2077

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Steam is a wonderful place. Yes, it’s full of incredible offers and deals but more importantly, it can be a great platform on which to discover new hidden gems.

Lethal Company is a prime example. It went from being on very few people’s radar to totally dominating the Steam charts and deservedly so.

AAAs are certainly fun, but it’s also nice to stumble across something lesser known that’s just as enjoyable.

With that in mind, I want to draw your attention to the upcoming I Am The Law. Mixing Grand Theft Auto’s lawlessness with a Cyberpunk 2077-esque world, it sounds like a recipe for success.

I Am The Law is an upcoming turn-based roguelike from developer DREBOT Game Studio. Unlike in Grand Theft Auto which sees you positioned on the wrong side of the law, I Am The Law will see you assume the role of an executioner: “Grab crime by the throat with the hand of law and smash it.”

“In a world where technology has become an integral part of corporate governance, and megacities have turned into a mix of concrete jungles and cyber-reality, looms a city full of violence and murder,” the synopsis teases.

“Amidst this chaos, only one force fights for order. They are the faceless guardians of the law, the keepers of order - executioners. Take on the role of a law executioner and restore law and order in this city.”

You’ll be able to pick one of four starting gear sets from Equilibrium, Rage, Bastion, and Storm with each set offering its own unique perks to suit your play style.

In order to uphold the law, you’ll need to pay close attention to the layout of the battlefield that lies before you, picking the optimal position to take out or manipulate your enemy.

This battlefield is constantly changing leading to an experience that should feel fresh game after game.

Upon a successful kill, you’ll gain access to reuse certain abilities, including dispatching multiple enemies in one turn.

I Am The Law is listed on Steam as “coming soon” but there is a free demo you can download and sample right now to see if it’s for you.
