Steam’s latest freebie is an incredibly fun puzzle game, that will seemingly never end.

If you’re a fan of puzzle games or video game level editors, we’ve got the perfect game for you, and you can play it for free on Steam right now.

Take a look at Captain Contraption's Chocolate Factory in action below.

It’s called Captain Contraption's Chocolate Factory, and sees players design and execute their own chocolate factory, meaning you can fully embrace your inner Willy Wonka and create some absolutely bizarre machinery.

The goal is simple, all you have to do is mass produce as many tasty products as possible, using whatever strategies or designs you think will maximise your production speed. Putting together your own marvellous contraptions is very straightforward, making it accessible for all players.

Whether it be combining some delicious chocolate with nuts for an extra bite, pouring food colouring over literally everything, or introducing some smooth caramel to the mix, there’s plenty of content to keep would-be chocolatiers happy and occupied.

Each level will see you take on a different puzzle, which you can tackle in almost any way you see fit, but obviously, the best ideas will solve it quicker and more efficiently than others.

The game’s official description reads: “An open-ended puzzle game. Design and build your own machines to combine ingredients to make chocolates. Automate production using simple components to create ingenious contraptions, which are as satisfying to watch as they are to optimise.”

At the moment there’s a limited number of levels available, as the game isn’t officially out yet.

It’s scheduled for an official release sometime during 2024, but the demo is free to play right now, and can be replayed, giving you a great opportunity to sample everything the game has to offer and put your own creations to the test as many times as you want.
