Not to sound super controlling, but there's something just so satisfying about commanding the lives of others. Okay, that sounds super controlling...
Our point, however, is that The Sims and similar games give us a way to really explore all avenues of life without it negatively impacting us. Sure, the odd Sim might perish in an unusual swimming accident, but needs must for the good of the town.
Still, as wonderful as The Sims is, it can start to feel a little predictable. Sure, we can turn to other titles like PlayStation Home, but that too becomes the same old; not to mention it lacks the same pizzazz as The Sims.

The answer could be to try out a new Unreal Engine 5 title called Vivaland.

Despite not being out just yet, Vivaland looks like a lot of fun, not ignoring how snazzy its visuals are. We don't know if this Steam title will be as successful as The Sims, but given the in-game mechanics and customisation options, we can already see ourselves losing hours to this game. Probably spent creating our first character.
Vivaland is due to launch later in 2024, although a specific date hasn't been given just yet.
