We cannot stress enough how much of a huge step forward this news is, especially for gamers who’ve been stifled by this particular issue for years now. We don’t want to overplay, but, as far as we’ve concerned, this is a big deal.
Starfield, along with various other Xbox titles, are going to be accessible on a platform they’ve previously been denied. What this means, is that you’ll be able to stream and play your games with greater ease and, more than likely, less cursing involved.

For anyone not blown away by this, allow us to clarify how tedious it’s been trying to stream games from Apple’s app store – it’s maddening. I’ve not personally suffered because I prefer gaming via a bigger screen, but I know people who’ve attempted this and nearly pulled all their hair out during the process.
Before anyone also comes at us for old news; yes, Apple did allow Xbox Game Pass and various others onto its systems in 2020. However, while it allowed it, it didn’t make for an easy or simple experience. Despite being able to access your account details via those services, you couldn’t stream a game without Apple okaying it, which is hardly a quick process.
Obviously, it’ll take some time to roll out all these changes that Apple has announced. Nevertheless, the foundations for developers to submit an app that includes streaming of all its games is there and ready to be built upon.
Gamers need some good news today, now more than ever, after Microsoft announced its shutting down of its physical video games division. And you know what that means, right, folks? Games are going to cost more.
