Starfield bugs are already hitting Twitch streamers in weird and wonderful ways

Starfield’s early access has arrived. Those of you who pre-ordered the Premium or Constellation editions can dive into the game right now, with standard access opening up on 6 September.

While Starfield’s Metacritic score was very slightly lower than some were expecting, it’s still clearly a knockout success. In fact, here at GAMINGbible, we rated the game a perfect 10, saying, “Every now and then, a new game comes along that changes our perception of what the industry is capable of. Starfield is that game. This is beyond what we’ve come to know an open-world to be. Bethesda has created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout.” On the whole, I’ve found the game to be largely bug-free, but a few funny glitches have been encountered by those currently streaming the game.

Bugs are by no means ideal, but they can be funny. The only one I really encountered on my review playthrough saw my hair temporarily disappear after dying. As reported by Dexerto, one streamer has seemingly topped that though after their ship reportedly took off without them. The clip was shared to Reddit by user sunlighthell. Take a look below.

It’s certainly funny to watch, but there’s seemingly more at play here than meets the eye. The cargo bay of your ship is accessible from the open-world. The main interior, where you take off, is accessed via a loading screen, so it looks as if this streamer was in the cargo hold of an NPC ship. When the NPC ship took off, they were then left behind on the planet’s surface. A transition which is, yes, admittedly a bit glitchy but to be expected.

There are plenty of other funny clips floating around on the internet. I've even witnessed one clip of a corpse seemingly speaking. Oh we do love you Bethesda and all your jank.
