Starfield 'jank' is already being celebrated by players

Starfield 'jank' is already being celebrated by players

Starfield players are secretly hoping that a few funny bugs end up making it into the game, for the memes.

Well, this is somewhat unexpected. Soon-to-be Starfield players are already celebrating the game’s ‘jank’, adding that they hope Bethesda leaves some in the game. I have one word in response to that, although it’s really more of a sound, and that’s: huh?

As I’m sure you’re aware, there’s been plenty of discussion surrounding what state Starfield will release in. Bethesda has promised that it’s their least buggiest release to date but fans are keen to see that for themselves. Apparently it’s been all hands on deck over at the studio for months in terms of quality testing. It must be a tall order testing Starfield for bugs, seeing as the game boasts over 1,000 planets across 100 star systems. We know that a sizable day one patch is coming which should see to the vast majority of bugs which slipped through the cracks when the game went gold. Some soon-to-be players of the game though are hoping that some ‘jank’ is kept in.

Take a look at Starfield in action below.

Reddit user ScuttleMeta took to the site to highlight one of the day one patch fixes which read, “Fixed a rare issue that could cause Companions to float in the air.” They captioned it, “Day one patch notes have already made me sad that this game is getting more polished. I almost wish we could keep some bugs in. I think I would genuinely die from laughter if I turned around and just watched Vasco slowly floating away like a balloon.”

It’s a funny image to think about in all fairness. A surprising number of people agreed with the user. One joked, “Day one mod expectation: Unofficial Starfield Patch Reality - Bug Restoration Project.” Please don’t tell me we’re really going to have bug mods. Really?

We’ll find out exactly what state Starfield is in later today. Not only does the review embargo lift, but early access also opens in select territories. We’ve recapped everything you need to know regarding early release times.
