Starfield's first error has been found, making game 'literally unplayable', fans joke

Starfield fans have jokingly been calling the game "literally unplayable" after someone spotted an in-game typo.

There sure are some silly geese on the internet. Starfield fans have jokingly labelled the game as “literally unplayable” after finding a typo on an in-game item. Do take “literally unplayable” with the largest dose of sarcasm possible.

We’re mere weeks away from the release of Starfield. Bethesda’s upcoming space epic is set to release on 6 September and in the lead up to that date, we keep learning more and more about the game. Just this week, Bethesda revealed more about the various factions and branching paths, plus it’s been teased that you’ll possibly be able to play as a space samurai. Based on gameplay footage, fans are convinced that you might be able to decorate your own apartment, and we’re still waiting to see if you can pilot your own mech. Seeing as there are over 1,000 planets to explore in total, I’m imagining that we’ll be discovering new features for many months post-release. Today though, I bring you a silly error spotted by fans.

Take a look at Starfield’s latest trailer below.

As reported by GamesRadar, eagle-eyed Reddit user Ambitious_Back4748 posted a screenshot taken from Starfield footage after they spotted a small typo. An in-game gun seemingly bears a label that reads, “State of the at.” Clearly, this should be ‘art’. It's a minor error that I’m imagining 99% of us would never notice and it’s hardly a game changer. Starfield fans did have a fun time joking about the whole affair though.

MechShield joked, “1.5 [out of] 10, literally unplayable,” while yanvail added, “Pre-order cancelled.” Moist-Pickle-2736 wrote, “Ugh and I was so excited for this game.” Alright, alright you comedians. You’ve had your fun.

On the topic of bugs though, Bethesda boss Todd Howard has already delved into just how much playtesting has taken place for Starfield. He said that the game has “the fewest bugs Bethesda has ever shipped with,” which is exactly what we wanted to hear.
