Xbox drops two free games you can play this weekend

Xbox's latest edition of Free Play Days is running this weekend, granting Game Pass subscribers access to two bonus games.

This is a delightful little treat. Xbox’s Free Play Days returns this weekend, offering Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Core subscribers two extra games to dive into at no additional cost for a limited time.

Admittedly, it’s not the strongest Free Play Days line-up I’ve seen but it’s by no means bad either. If you’re a fan of sports games and management sims, then it should be right up your street. You can now dive into both NBA 2K24 and Two Point Campus. The event is now live and runs up until 11.59pm PDT on Sunday 11 February. What I will add is that this coincides with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s free multiplayer weekend so you may also want to check that out. You don’t need Game Pass to get involved in the latter, and it ends also on Sunday 11 February, this time at 10am PDT.

Take a look at Two Point Campus in action below.

As for Free Play Days, Two Point Campus is a school management sim from Two Point Studios that landed back in 2022. It’s got a very respectable score of 83 on Metacritic and as an interesting tease for you Hogwarts Legacy fans, you don’t simply have to create a ‘normal’ school or university. You can, in fact, create your own magic academy.

In our review, we wrote, “Two Point Campus is a charming yet chaotic management sim with tons of creative freedom. If you loved Two Point Hospital’s humorous take on the health center environment, you’ll feel right at home at the controls here, but the game is also incredibly welcoming for newcomers, too.”

As for NBA 2K24, it’s exactly what you’d expect - the latest entry in the long-running sports franchise. Developed by Visual Concepts, this one dropped last year with its Metacritic score sitting at a lower 68. The user score is just 1.9 with users declaring their strong dislike for the game’s microtransactions. Still, you can give both games a whirl for free now.
