If you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, you need to check out this free RPG

There’s nothing quite like being immersed in a fantasy RPG, especially one that is highly rated by critics and fans alike. If fantasy RPGs are your cup of tea and you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, then you’re in luck.

Whether you subscribe to Sony’s PlayStation Plus or Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass (or perhaps even both), you can literally have hundreds of games at your disposal and sometimes it can feel a little overwhelming what to play next. Ah, the burden of choices. However, the 2021 JRPG developed and published by Bandai Namco, Tales of Arise, comes highly recommended by the video game community.

Check out the Tales of Arise trailer below!

“300 years of tyranny. A mysterious mask. Lost pain and memories. Wield the Blazing Sword and join a mysterious, untouchable girl to fight your oppressors. Experience a tale of liberation, featuring characters with next-gen graphical expressiveness!” reads the synopsis for Tales of Arise.

On the aggregate website Metacritic, Tales of Arise scored an impressive 87 on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles. On Steam, it’s rated as “Very Positive” with comments such as “Made it to the third region so far and can't put it down. If you like Xenoblade you'll like this,” from user Mikuzoid.

Tales of Arise is up on Xbox Game Pass!! Great JRPG, highly recommended,” exclaimed Redditor Ok-Pay7283. “Really enjoyed this, but I found the combat tiresome even compared to other JRPGs. Worth a go though for those who enjoy the genre,” replied GamingRobioto. “Great game. A weak Tales entry but still great for newcomers,” said Shikoome.

Tales of Arise is available now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. What’s more, not only is it included in Xbox Game Pass but also the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers. Oh, and there’s even a free playable demo on the Steam store.
