As well as preventing them from getting into matches.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season 6 update has been causing crashes on PlayStation 4, and fortunately, Activision is aware of the issue.

Released earlier this week, Season 6 brought new playable Operators into the fray, namely Farah and Nikolai. The R700 sniper rifle, AS-VAL Assault Rifle and AA12 Shotgun have also arrived as part of the update, and Infinity Ward promises a "more streamlined" weapon rotation this time. Four free new multiplayer maps for Ground War, Gunfight, and 6v6 and 10v10 core play have shaken up the show, and the battle pass rewards players with "one of the most unique collections of content yet" for their progress.

With regards to Call of Duty: Warzone, it has been discovered that there is a vast underground rail system in Verdansk. The stations let players travel between Verdansk Airport, Lozoff Pass, Verdansk Centre, Downtown/Tavorsk District, Barakett Shopping District, Verdansk Train Station, and Torsk Bloc. Season 6 of Warzone will also celebrate the spooky season with a "terrifying mid-season event," theorised to be Zombie Royale.

Unfortunately though, a not-insignificant number of PlayStation 4 players haven't been able to get off the ground in Season 6. The game has been crashing out to a blue screen while people have been playing multiplayer matches of Modern Warfare. This error (specifically categorised as CE-34878-0) is a general one, and it advises players to restart the game and ensure their system software and the game is not out of date.

With those two requirements ticked off, players are still struggling with this error, which scuppers the hype for Season 6 quicker than you can say "cookies with sultanas." A handful of other players are reporting that Modern Warfare isn't recognising their active PS Plus membership, thereby preventing them from entering multiplayer matches in the first place. However, help is on the way, as Activision is "actively investigating" these major problems.

A timeframe for solving these issues has not been supplied, but the support team encourages players to submit their errors with detail so that the investigation is as comprehensive as possible. It also states that players should keep an eye on the game's social channels for updates on the... update.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Though, it might be a little quieter now that 20,000 cheaters have been banned from the game.
