'Call Of Duty: Vanguard' PlayStation-Exclusive Content Confirmed

As sure as night follows day and people with car avatars on social media turn out to be a bit weird, Call Of Duty: Vanguard will be offering exclusive content for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users.

This is nothing new, of course, Call Of Duty has had an exclusivity deal with PlayStation for years now. 2019's Modern Warfare saw a handful of special modes and weapons reserved for PlayStation gamers, and last year's Black Ops Cold War was much the same.

Vanguard won't be any different, as Sledgehammer games has confirmed PlayStation will get "bonus content and benefits" that remain exclusive until November 1, 2022 - a full year.

Take a look at the new Zombies mode in action below:

It's currently unconfirmed what shape this "bonus" content will take, but judging from previous years it'll probably be one or two game modes and a handful of regularly delivered cosmetic content. Nothing hugely substantial, in other words, but likely enough to leave Xbox and PC users feeling like they've gotten a raw deal.

Black Ops Cold War exclusive content included an exclusive Zombies mode, Onslaught, plus a handful of weapon blueprints, intel, and various online benefits like first dibs at double XP weekends. Oddly, PlayStation users were also offered exclusive access to pre-load updates, which seems an odd thing to keep from other platforms.

Sledgehammer Games will have more to share about the exact nature of Vanguard's bonus content ahead of the game's release next month. Until then, Xbox and PC users should be prepared to settle down for another long wait. At least they'll finally be able to play Black Ops Cold War's Onslaught mode soon, which is... something.
