PlayStation has just dropped a completely unexpected freebie for PlayStation 5 owners, and it's quite unlike anything it's ever offered before.
Those of us with a PS4 or PS5 are no strangers to the occasional free treat from PlayStation. Usually it's something small like a free theme or trial weekend. Every now and again, it can be something slightly more substantial, like store credit or a free video game.
This time around, the freebie is actually a code to unlock one complementary cinema ticket to the upcoming Uncharted movie. How exciting you find that is, I suppose, entirely dependent on whether or not you think the live-action adaptation of Naughty Dog's classic PlayStation franchise looks good or not.

If you're interested and intend to bag this particular gift, you'll need to pick up Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection for PlayStation 5.
This is the souped-up collection that contains PS5 remasters of Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. It's £10 to upgrade if you already own either one of those games, or £45 if you don't. To be fair, £45 for two games and a cinema ticket in this day and age isn't actually that bad at all. Once you've purchased the game, you'll be sent a code to redeem your cinema ticket.
As usual, there are some important caveats to note. The first is that this promotion is only available through certain theatres, which Sony will announce at a later date. It's also only available in the US, New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. Finally, please be aware that the offer is only valid between now and February 3, just a few days after Legacy Of Thieves Collection launches on January 28.
The Uncharted movie, starring Spider-Man's Tom Holland, hits theatres February 18. Let's just hope going to the cinema is something we all feel comfortable doing by February, eh?
