PlayStation has finally unveiled its first range of official custom console covers for the PlayStation 5, which will launch alongside a range of attractive new DualSense colour schemes.
Over on the PlayStation Blog, the company showed off three new DualSense colours scheduled to launch in the New Year: Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. These join the currently available Cosmic Red and Midnight Black, which dropped earlier this year.
But that's not all! PlayStation will also be introducing new PS5 console covers. There's one to match each of the galaxy-inspired DualSense wireless controller colours, which means there are going to be five to choose from. These are the first official custom plates from PlayStation, following a number of fan-made efforts that have launched to varying degrees of success over the last year.

"These new console covers are beautiful and easy to use," PlayStation writes. "Simply remove your original white PS5 console covers and click your new ones into place. The PS5 console covers will be available for both the PS5 with the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and the PS5 Digital Edition and are sold separately from the PS5 console and DualSense controller."
The new controllers and console covers are expected to launch throughout January, although pricing for the latter have yet to be officially confirmed.
