While I haven't had the pleasure of playing it yet, it sounds like Bluepoint Games' remake of Demon's Souls is the must-play PlayStation 5 launch title. A remake of FromSoftware's cult PlayStation 3 classic, critics are lining up to praise the challenging action RPG, hailing it as a true next-gen experience. I would very much like to get my hands on it, but I'm stuck waiting till tomorrow when the PS5 finally launches in the UK.
Bluepoint had previously proven itself adept at remastering classic games with a stunning PlayStation 4 remake of Shadow Of The Colossus back in 2018. Between that and Demon's Souls, it seems Bluepoint really is the go-to studio for bringing new life to old PlayStation hits. The good news? it sounds like they're not done.

We're venturing deep into rumour territory here so be sure to grab a bucket of salt, but new reports have surfaced that suggest Bluepoint already has another remake underway... and the fans seem pretty certain they know what it is already.
YouTuber Lance McDonald is an incredibly passionate fan of all things FromSoftware. This is the guy who made an unofficial Bloodborne patch to make the game run at 60fps, and was recently invited to Bluepoint HQ to get an early hands-on with Demon's Souls. In other words, this guy is legit. In a recent tweet, he quoted Bluepoint as having said "not one, but two".
The obvious reaction to a tweet like this is that it's hinting towards a second PS5 remake, obviously. It certainly sounds like Demon's Souls might not be the only project Bluepoint had on the go, and there are rumours and reports going back well over a year or so that actually seem back this up.

Long before Demon's Souls was officially announced as a PS5 launch game, the vast majority of reports suggested Bluepoint was remaking one of two games: Demon's Souls, or Konami's PlayStation classic Metal Gear Solid. While the remake obviously turned out to be Demon's Souls, what if there really is not one, but two remakes in development at Bluepoint? What if there is actually some truth to those Metal Gear rumours?
Now this could be nothing more than a vague feeling trundled into battle on the back of a sneaking suspicion, but it does seem the stars are aligning. Bluepoint previously worked on a collection of HD Metal Gear remasters, so there's a history there. Meanwhile, The Game Awards host recently implied that Konami and Sony have teamed up to work on something. We all assumed it was a new Silent Hill, but if what we're about to be completely blindsided by a PS5 remake of Metal Gear Solid? Stranger things have happened, so let's just wait and see.
