PlayStation Plus Free Games For July 2021 Announced

Well, there it is.

PlayStation has confirmed the three free PlayStation Plus games for subscribers in July 2021, and it looks like there's a little something for everyone.

As we reported earlier this month, Asobo Studio's gritty stealth-action adventure A Plague Tale: Innocence will be the free game for PlayStation 5 owners with a subscription to the online service. This is the brand-new upgraded version for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, so expect a bunch of improved graphical features to make an already stunning game look even better.

Meanwhile, PlayStation 4 owners can get hold of Call Of Duty: Black Ops IIII and WWE 2K Battlegrounds. I'm not entirely how sure how subscribers will respond to these, but I suspect not brilliantly.

All three games will be available for subscribers to add to their console library starting Tuesday, July 6 until Monday, August 2. Oh, and if you managed to miss it last month, Virtua Fighter will be available for a second month, meaning you'll have until August 2 to nab the June freebie.

"The PlayStation Plus July lineup packs in thrilling firefights, wrestling superstars, intense horror, and martial arts action," reads the announcement over on the PlayStation Blog.

"Whether your tastes lie with first-person shooters (Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII), over the top arcade punch ups (WWE 2K Battlegrounds), third-person survival horror (A Plague Tale: Innocence) or battling your way up global leaderboards (Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown), PlayStation Plus next month has something for you."

Don't forget to grab the rest of June's offerings if you haven't already. Star Wars Squadrons is an excellent sci-fi space combat sim, and Operation Tango is a good laugh that all PS5 owners should check out.
