Ingenious PlayStation 5 Mod Anybody Can Do With A Post-it

If you've seen the PlayStation 5, no matter who you are, you have opinions on the way it looks. You could think it looks fantastic, a really interesting statement on the boxy nature of gaming consoles. Or you think it looks like a router. Either way, people are thinking of ways to customise the console, and Reddit has just revealed one of the cheapest and most elegant mods we can all do at home.

Here's a list of materials you're going to need: a PlayStation 5, a Post-it note. That's it - simple as can be. User Try2GetFamous posted this little hack on the Gaming subreddit and it involves using the sticky-backed paper to change the colour of the PlayStation logo on the PS5.

All you do is remove the front wing of the PS5 and place a T-shaped post-it against the black interior, which normally appears as a slick black-cut out of the logo. Pop the wing back on the side of the PlayStation 5 and there you have a console with a slightly new look. Great for anyone who wants to add a pop of colour to their set up. The note Try2GetFamous has picked comes in a PlayStation toned blue which compliments the lights the machine emanates when powered on.

It's cool when people find small simple ways to modify the tech they have, especially when it's something that everyone can replicate easily - however there are those that are taking their PlayStation mods to a whole new level, sometimes by doing it themselves.

Companies' attempts at making modified PlayStation wings have been shut down by Sony in some cases, while a PlayStation 2-themed PS5 campaign had to issue refunds as the staff started receiving credible threats the their safety. Maybe it's just safer to stick with post-it notes for now until Sony comes out with its own special edition consoles for users to purchase.
