Loads More 'Ghost Of Tsushima' Gameplay Is Coming This Week

We've all loved what we've seen of Ghost Of Tsushima so far, right? Sucker Punch's gorgeous open world samurai adventure looks set to end the PlayStation 4's run of exclusives on a real high. The only problem is that the game is scheduled to release on July 17th, and we haven't seen nearly enough of it in action yet.

The good news is that's all set to change tomorrow (Thursday, May 13th). Sony has announced a special State Of Play presentation guaranteed to showing of a load more Ghost Of Tsushima footage. Gameplay, combat, exploration, and more will all be the focus of a special 18-minute show that aims to shine a light on Sucker Punch's latest - and presumably win over anyone who isn't already convinced.

The action kicks off at 9pm here in the UK, not that time means anything to any of us anymore. You'll be able to watch the show via Twitch and YouTube, so be sure not to miss out. Sony also clarified that the show is exclusively focused on Ghost Of Tsushima, so don't expect any news on the PlayStation 5, The Last Of Us Part II, or any other upcoming titles.

For those unfamiliar, Ghost Of Tsushima is set in 13th century Feudal Japan, and follows the story of one of the last samurai, Jin Sakai, during the first Mongol invasion of Japan.

"The year is 1274," reads the game's official description. "Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan - until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But honourable tactics won't lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting - the way of the Ghost - as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan."

While the game has yet to be rated by PEGI or ESRB, the Australian rating board recently classified the title as Mature MA15+ - which specifically states a "strong impact" on both violence and the themes contained within the game. Don't be surprised if this adventure takes a bloody and violent turn, then.
