Of course, it's not a patch on Xbox Game Pass, but PlayStation Plus offers a lot to its customers across three different tiers.

Essential does everything the original PlayStation Plus used to do, Extra gives access to the Game Catalog, and Premium bundles all of the perks of the previous two tiers as well as exclusive goodies like game trials, cloud streaming and the Classics Catalog. Though there has been praise for PlayStation Plus, Premium subscribers feel like they aren't getting a bang for their buck, with paltry arrivals in the Classics Catalog with every month. If you're in that camp, then turn that frown upside down. A scoop from Insider Gaming suggests that one of the most-anticipated features for the PS5 will only be available for those forking out for the highest PlayStation Plus tier.

Check out the trailer for One Piece Odyssey on PS5, which we said was "gorgeous" and "a grand tour through time as well as space" of the anime:

March's update for the PlayStation will roll out the sorely required Discord integration on the console and introduce cloud streaming of PS5 games, which is very handy for those who are light on storage space. The issue (or silver lining, depending on who you are) is that this feature is allegedly only accessible if you're on the Premium tier of PlayStation Plus.

The situation is similar but not the same with Xbox Cloud Gaming. Free-to-play games like Fortnite are playable with just a Microsoft account and a supported device, however, you are able to stream games like A Plague Tale: Requiem and hundreds more with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Moreover, players are able to stream the PS4 version of games on their PS5 right now, but native PS5 versions for streaming might not be possible unless you cough up.

Obviously, it's best to take this with a pinch of salt and March is a long way off, so these tidbits might change before then.
