'Marvel's Spider-Man' Actor Wishes He Was In 'No Way Home'

'Marvel's Spider-Man' Actor Wishes He Was In 'No Way Home'

Villains like Lizard, Green Goblin and Doc Ock are returning to New York City.

Yuri Lowenthal, the voice behind Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man, has said how much he wishes his character would be included in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home

While villains like Electro, Sandman, Lizard, Green Goblin and Doc Ock are confirmed for No Way Home, the rumours that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are returning to help out Tom Holland’s character in his greatest battle yet are hanging round like a couple of superheroes from Queens.

"I know I'm not going to be able to say anything that will convince anyone that I don't know what's happening," said Garfield in an interview about the hype for an imminent Spidey reunion. "No matter what I say, I'm f***ed. It's either going to be really disappointing for people or it's going to be really exciting."

Here's our ultimate list of the best Spider-Man titles out there - check it out!

A version of the No Way Home trailer seems to suggest that Garfield actually is in the movie. This might just be the live-action Into the Spider-Verse, but if that were truly to be the case, you’d have to include Peter Parker from Marvel’s Spider-Man. The Advanced Suit from the game is featured in a scene in the movie when the characters enter the Spider-Cave as a nice little nod to Marvel’s Spider-Man being part of the multiverse as well as the movies, TV shows and comic books.

On Twitter, Lowenthal quote-retweeted a piece of fan art of his character leaping through the air between the skyscrapers of New York, adding, “Man, do I wish this guy was in NWH…” Personally, I don’t think that the actor is hinting at anything here, yet fans fully support the concept of Yuri Lowenthal’s Spidey shaking hands with the portrayals from Maguire, Garfield and Holland.

“Would've been a real treat to have the definition of Spider-Man meet the holy trifecta of the cinematic Spider-Men,” said one, and another joked that Marvel and Sony should “#ReleaseTheLowenthalCut.” Of course, we will only be waiting two years til Spider-Man returns to the PlayStation 5.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will delve into darker themes and Marvel Games boss Bill Rosemann has compared the sequel to Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back in terms of tone. And, Peter and Miles will be battling Venom and Kraven the Hunter. Good things come to those who wait!
