Of all of the announcements from last week's PlayStation 5 event, I was easily most excited by the reveal of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Insomniac Games is hard at work on the follow-up/spinoff to 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man, and I can't wait to dive in and play as Miles for the first time as he gets to grips with his new powers.
Plus, I've always been fully obsessed with the Miles Morales Spidey suit. I was honestly a little disappointed that it wasn't an unlockable costume in Marvel's Spider-Man. Clearly they were saving it for the man himself to wear for the first time... and that's just fine by me.
But what would a custom PlayStation 5 look like if it were inspired by such a gorgeous costume? Pretty damn attractive, as it turns out. Designer and artist BossLogic put together an (unofficial) version of a Miles Morales PS5, and I think I speak for Spider-Man fans everywhere when I say; "give it to me now".

The actual differences between this and the standard PS5 design are minimal - as should be the case for any good limited-edition console IMO. The white on black has been replaced by a much sleeker all-black design, with a subtle red glow running down the middle of the console, and a spider emblem on the side for good measure.
The DualSense controller also gets a makeover, its red touchpad standing out beautifully in contrast to the jet black controller. If Sony wants to go ahead and release this model to coincide with the launch of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, I would happily throw all my money at it.
BossLogic also put together a second Spidey PS5 mockup... but as you can see below, this one is a little less serious and a little more concerned with taking aim at the design of the new console itself. Something pretty much the entire internet has done at this point.
Pretty funny, right? But what's really sad is that I'm such a Spider-Man nerd, I'd probably buy this one too without a moment's hesitation. I'm sure you probably think I'm joking, but I can absolutely assure you that I'm not. I have a very real problem when it comes to Spidey merch.
