If you're one of the many people out there who didn't manage to get a PlayStation 5 pre-order secured during last week's shenanigans, worry not. Select retailers have confirmed they've got a number of next-gen consoles back in stock, with further pre-orders set to go live at the incredibly vague time of "late morning".
UK retailer GAME tweeted that it would have limited quantities of the PlayStation 5 standard and digital edition in stock today (September 25th). Sadly, we have no idea exactly what time these orders will be going live. At the time of writing, there doesn't seem to be anything yet, so I'd advise you keep one eye on the GAME Twitter account and the other on the website, as orders will be online only. So don't go and stand outside your local store with your nose pressed up against the glass.
There are also reports that Amazon UK will be getting more stock this morning, so keep an eye out there. Again, I don't have an exact time for you, so just keep your eye out. Last week Amazon's pre-orders went in 10 minutes, so you'll need to be on the ball.
Finally, our chums across the pond can rest safe knowing that US retailer GameStop will also have limited stock for pre-orders tomorrow morning. According to the report, stores will be opening up a second wave of pre-orders when locations open at normal hours. It's not clear whether that means you have to go to a store branch to secure your order or not, but I personally would probably not recommend doing that if you can avoid it.
This Friday 9/25 GameStop stores (US) are opening another wave of PS5 pre-orders when locations open at normal hours. Disc consoles only, they would arrive within the first week of consoles launch. So not right on 11/12, but shortly after.- Ryan Biniecki (@MysticRyan) September 23, 2020
The PlayStation 5 arrives in the UK on November 19th, and Sony has assured fans that there will be plenty more chances to secure a pre-order or get hold of a console after launch. Happy hunting, my friends.
