PlayStation 5 Owners Are Giving Their Consoles Stunning Custom Paint Jobs

The PlayStation 5 is finally available around the world, and we're already starting to see gamers doing all sorts of interesting things with their new next-gen consoles. The more creative among us (myself not included) are taking it upon themselves to jazz up the generic white-on-black colour scheme with all manner of bold and brilliant custom paint jobs.

Earlier this week we told you all about how several users were painting their consoles all-black, which itself was a vast improvement on the standard colour scheme, and proof that Sony really needs to roll out more custom designs soon. However, we're now starting to see even more ambitious custom designs, with the PS5's standard white plates becoming unrecognisible after a bit of work.

Just take a look at Reddit user Craayons custom painted orange-and-white monster, complete with a metal af-looking skull atop the classic PlayStation logo. I'd pay actual money for something like that!

Meanwhile, Reddit user akarshbansal11 felt compelled by the classic PlayStation exclusive Marvel's Spider-Man, creating a custom shell that Sony should absolutely pay attention to. Yes, I'd pay money for something like this too. You may begin to sense a pattern emerging.

The fun doesn't stop there though, as people have also been getting creative with their DualSense controllers. Whether they've been given a stunning all-black makeover to hide the inevitable gamer sweat or a considerably more ambitious sci-fiesque purple hue (which you can see below), the imagination and creativity of these gamers is mighty impressive.

Personally I'm a kak-handed fool that probably completely ruin my PlayStation 5 if I tried to do anything like this to it, so I'm probably going to play it safe and accept the standard design for what it is. Hopefully Sony comes through with official custom plates soon though, or else I might cave and reach for the crayons.
