PlayStation Plus Subscribers Get Massive Bundle Of Free Games On PS5 At Launch

Sony has announced an exclusive perk for PlayStation Plus subscribers on PlayStation 5, and it's pretty impressive. Anyone who currently has a subscription to Sony's online service will get access to a massive range of classic PlayStation 4 titles on their PS5 at launch.

Described as a curated library of generation-defining titles, the PlayStation Plus Collection will give PS5 owners with a subscription access to download and play some of the best games of this generation. Uncharted 4, The Last Of Remastered, Bloodborne, God Of War, and more - all of these will be available on your next-gen console from launch.

"For PlayStation Plus members, we'll have a special new offering on PS5," Sony explained on the PlayStation Blog. "PS5 owners with PS Plus will be able to download and play a curated library of PS4 games that defined the generation, like Batman Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, God of War, Monster Hunter: World, Persona 5 and many more. The PS Plus Collection will be an added benefit to the existing PS4 benefits that PS Plus members receive for a single subscription price."

While this doesn't really come close to the value of subscription service like Xbox Game Pass, it's the best PlayStation Plus benefit I've seen in a long time. It'll also ensure we've all got something new to play when the PS5 launches in November. I've still not played The Last Guardian, Persona 5, or Days Gone, so it'd be nice to break in my new console with a few of the classics.

The PlayStation 5 launches November 19th in the UK. Sony confirmed that the standard and digital editions will retail £449 and £359 respectively. You can pre-order the console from select retailer right now... but be warned that they're already selling like hot cakes.
