PlayStation Plus: 17 Free Games For July Officially Confirmed

PlayStation Plus: 17 Free Games For July Officially Confirmed

17 more games for subscribers

Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed the 17 (yes, 17) new free games headed to PlayStation Plus on July 19.

Earlier this month, Sony made Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, Arcadegeddon, and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man Of Medan for all PlayStation Plus subscribers. However, those subscribed to the new, pricier Extra and Premium tiers are about to get a whole lot more to sink their teeth into.

Take a look at Stray in action below ahead of its July 19 release date!

From July 19, anyone subscribed to PS Plus Extra or Premium will get Day One access to BlueTwelve Studio's long-awaited feline adventure game Stray. If you have access to the internet and social media, odds are you've definitely seen viral clips of this adorable looking game, which has players take on the role of a small cat lost in a mysterious sci-fi city.

Subscribers will also get the upgraded Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for PS5, which comes with the Yuffie-focused INTERmission episode. A worthy upgrade from Final Fantasy VII Remake that's well worth checking out.

As if that wasn't enough, you can also get your hands on Marvel's Avengers, as well as no less than five Assassin's Creed games: Unity, Black Flag, and The Ezio Collection's three Ezio-starring adventures. Saints Row 4: Re-Elected and Saints Row Gat out of Hell will also be available.

That's not a bad lineup at all, it must be said. Although as someone who has yet to upgrade from PS Plus to Essential to Extra or Premium, I'm still not really feeling the urge to make the jump.

In fairness this is because I've played most of the games being offered this month, and that's fine! Maybe next month will have that one big addition that gets me to fork over some extra cash. We'll just have to wait and see.
