If you've got a PlayStation Plus subscription you can grab a bonus freebie now

PlayStation Plus subscribers can grab themselves a bonus free download right now, regardless of which tier they're on.

It's been a pretty great few months for PlayStation Plus. Subscribers can currently get their hands on

a number of iconic trilogies, some stunning PS5 exclusives, and a genuinely great trio of free games for July in the form of Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered and Endling - Extinction is Forever.

But if all that still isn't enough to sate your appetite, you greedy little goblins, you can get your hands on a bonus free download right now.

From now until August 15 you can head here and claim a free download for Genshin Impact. The popular open-world RPG is already a free-to-play game of course, but this is a little extra download filled with useful resources that will help you level your characters up.

It doesn't matter if you're subscribed to the Essential, Extra, or Premium tier of PS Plus, anyone can grab it. It's not the biggest free download in the world, but free is free - and who are we to turn down free in this economy?

In other PlayStation Plus news, we recently took a look back at previous Augusts to try and get a feel for which free games we can expect next month. August 2020 gave us the excellent battle royale Fall Guys, as well as the remastered Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign. Meanwhile 2022 gifted us Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered, Little Nightmares, and Yakuza: Like A Dragon all in the mix.

While PlayStation Plus doesn't tend to follow a logical pattern, those previous years would strongly suggest we can expect some good things in August. Watch this space, and we'll be sure to update you when the free games inevitably leak the day before the official announcement.
