PlayStation Plus drops bonus freebie for new and existing subscribers

PlayStation Plus subscribers new and old can grab a huge discount right now

PlayStation Plus subscribers new and old can currently get their hands on a cheeky bonus freebie as part of PlayStation’s big Days Of Play sale.

For those that aren’t aware, Days Of Play is PlayStation’s biggest annual sale by far, with huge discounts on some of its biggest games. PlayStation Plus subscribers get access to some of the heftier discounts, naturally, but there are bargains to be found for all.

This year, as part of the feeding frenzy, Sony is offering 25% off on 12 months of PlayStation Plus for new and existing members. Not too shabby at all, I’m sure you’d agree. Or maybe you wouldn’t. I don’t know your life. The discount even applies to membership upgrades, so you can make the switch to Extra or Premium tier for access to additional perks like classic PS1 games and a larger catalogue of free titles every month.

The Days Of Play sale also includes major discounts on some of the best PS5 titles, including God Of War Ragnarök and Ratchet And Clank: Rift Apart, two adventures that are absolutely worth experiencing if you've yet to dive in.

The last couple of months have seen PlayStation Plus get some genuinely great games in, if you're on the fence about whether or not to join (or upgrade to a higher tier). Subscribers can currently play one of the best action-adventure games out there, one of the PlayStation 5's best-looking games, and a brand-new release that's winning rave reviews.

But with the news that the service is losing a bunch of games this month, and the reveal of a fairly underwhelming PS1 game for Premium subscribers, there's been a bit of a cloud over the June free games, which didn’t exactly go down brilliantly. Certainly, it's worth taking a look at the latest batch of free games across Essential, Extra, and Premium before you make any decisions.
