After months of rumours, Sony has finally officially revealed its all-new PlayStation Plus subscription service, which is to be rolled out in June.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, Sony confirmed that the new service will be made up of three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium.

Essential is £7 a month, and is basically the PlayStation Plus we already know and love (or hate, as the case seems to be for a lot of you). But for a few more quid, you can grab the Extra tier, which includes up to 400 of "the most enjoyable PS4 and PS5 games".

The full lineup of games has yet to be confirmed by Sony, but the company has already teased a pretty impressive selection of first-party games that are set to be made available to subscribers when the new tier launches in a few months.

From June, Extra and Premium subscribers will be able to download or stream the following bangers: Death Stranding, God Of War, Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal. That's just the tip of the iceberg, however, with hundreds more games set to be announced soon.

And if you're looking to dive a little further into the past, the Premium tier nets you access to a wide selection of original PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and even PlayStation Vita games for £13.49 a month. Again, we have no idea what games will be in the mix yet, but the Premium Tier is promising a whopping 740 classic and modern games. Not too shabby at all.
