PlayStation Plus Set To Add Major PS5 Exclusive Fans Have Been Asking For

PlayStation Plus already boasts an enviable catalogue of games, but that could soon get even better.

This week, the overhauled PlayStation Plus subscription service completed its roll out after finally landing in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. With it, most of us have got access to more games than ever before and quite frankly, my backlog isn’t going to be happy.

The Extra and Premium tiers are obviously the biggest draws. With Premium, you can replay classic titles like Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue and Syphon Filter, whilst Extra unlocks a library of popular PlayStation 4 and 5 games including Marvel’s Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding. It now looks like a major PS5 exclusive could soon be added to that roster - and it’s going to please a lot of people.

Take a look at some of GAMINGbible's favourite PlayStation 5 games so far.

Rumours suggest that Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart could soon be hitting PlayStation Plus. Released just last year, the game is one of the very few true PS5 exclusives. It makes sense to add the game to the platform, given that many other franchise entries are already included.

Reddit user slimane406 took to the site to post a screenshot taken on the French PlayStation Plus hub which shows an image of Insomniac GamesRatchet and Clank: Rift Apart next to text advising users about the subscription services’ various catalogues. As it stands, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart isn’t included in any of those catalogues so it certainly would be a strange choice to use this image if the intention wasn’t to add the game further down the line.

Sony has previously noted that new games will be added to each tier every single month, so we should expect to see these catalogues grow. As such, it makes sense Sony would hold some major titles back to add as later additions. As with any rumour, this has to be taken with a pinch of salt but things certainly look promising.
