PlayStation is celebrating the end of the year with a handful of hefty discounts on some top-tier titles. Sure, you could scroll and scroll and scroll, feeling like the maths meme lady while you calculate and track the ones you’d like but saving over some cash for the ones you’ve not seen yet. Or, you could keep reading for our list of the best PlayStation games at bargain-basement prices.

Marvel’s Spider-Man and its Game of the Year edition are half price, knocking them down to £17 and £27 respectively, and this is the moment to snap up the game ahead of the release of the sequel in 2023. And, if you’ve been eyeing up Assassin’s Creed Valhalla like Huginn and Muninn, it’s actually cheaper to opt for the Deluxe or Gold edition than the base edition — £38 or £42 versus £60. That’s a proper bang for your buck and you get the PlayStation 5 version too.

Here are the cutest Easter eggs in Astro's Playroom, referencing the historied range of games for the console!

Dragon Age Inquisition, a sprawling RPG with a lot of replayability as you determine the direction of entire countries and act as the herald of a fantastical god, is just £6 for its Game of the Year edition. That nets you the Jaws of Hakkon, The Descent and Trespasser DLCs as well as the Spoils of the Avvar & Spoils of the Qunari weaponry, mounts and gear.

Wondering how you’ll entertain the tykes when the holidays roll round? The Don’t Starve Mega Pack 2020 is £13, wrapping up all DLC and two copies of the game, so you are able to gift one to your family and friends and pick up playing even when you’re apart. Thatgamecompany’s Journey, which is widely regarded to be one of the most artistically pleasing games out there, is only £6. And, I must mention that Lost in Random is 33% off, bringing its price to £17. This is one of my favourite games of this year and it’s got amazing messages for younger players in its dark fairytale storyline.

Of course, I’ve got to spotlight the excellent savings to be had for God Of War, Bloodborne Game of the Year edition, and Judgment, which are £8, £15, and £21. However, if all this talk is causing you to break out in a cold sweat about your gaming backlog, never fear. We’ve got a guide to compartmentalise those coveted games before the holidays descend upon us.
