The PlayStation 5 is officially out. Congratulations everyone who has managed to get their hands on the console, because right now they're sold out everywhere. Since getting the next-gen beast, there have been a few hiccups here and there with software or hardware and it has caused some consumers significant worry. If a PS5 is broken, and the product is sold out everywhere, a warranty isn't much good right now.
This is what's happening with a few incredibly loud PlayStation 5s, but you might be able to fix this one specific problem by yourself and have your console sounding brand new once again. However, be warned, this fix might mean your warranty on the console is void once you do it.
If you've noticed that your PS5 is really loud, shockingly so for a new console, it's perhaps something in the way of the fan. When Frank Keienburg, the game lead on Brawl Stars from Supercell, got annoyed with his console making a lot of noise he posted on Twitter how he fixed the problem - might be worth checking out if you have the same issue.
@PlayStation Fan noise sounds broken upon first start-up and stays like this. Disc version. Can be heard in the whole apartment.

Keienburg first posted this video which almost sounds like nails on a chalkboard it's so annoying. The console's fan is whining in a really unhealthy sounding way, no wonder Keienburg decided to take a look at the problem.
After opening up the console, the developer spotted a sticker on the inside of the slot for the fan which had come loose. It didn't seem to be for anything so he removed it and it's now completely fixed. It's likely that more of these random stickers have come loose in people's consoles, or landed inside the PS5s as they were produced, so taking a look at your own unit might be an idea if the noise is unbearable.
Update

Well, we can all sleep soundly at night knowing that the PlayStation 5 is actually quieter than the PlayStation 4 when there isn't stuff placed wrong on the inside. Thanks Gamespot!
