The best teachers are the ones that leave an indelible mark on your life. Personally, I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for the English teacher that encouraged me to start my own blog, or the year two teacher who pushed me to read more challenging books at a younger age. Granted where I am now is getting shouted at by strangers on the internet for trying to make jokes about Pokémon, but it has its perks. Sometimes.
Anyway, I think it's fair to say that the students of TikTok user wolf_duckworth's high school class will ever forget the day their teacher came in and surprised them with a PlayStation 5. Seriously, how on Earth do the rest of the teachers at this school compete with a move like that? They can't, is the answer.
Take a look at the video for yourself below. The look of sheer joy on the faces of the students as they realise they're going to spending class playing PS5 projected onto a whiteboard is absolutely priceless. This is like when my old teachers would wheel out the old telly and a VHS tape so you knew no real work was gonna get done, but on a much cooler level.

This is far from the only touching story we've seen since the PlayStation 5 launched last week though. Earlier this week we reported on the tale of two longtime gaming buddies, and how one of them was able to surprise the other by securing a second PS5 and gifting it to them.
Reddit user ghost_knight1121's best friend and gaming partner of fifteen years was unable to secure a PS5 thanks in no small part to the massive pre-order confusion that plagued so many of us. The good news? ghost_knight1121 did manage to pick up a spare after "getting lucky", and got the incredible pleasure of surprising his mate with the next-gen console.
Maybe I'm just choosing to focus on the positives, but it seems as if this next-gen launch is mostly bringing out the best in people - and I've got all the time in the world for that.
