You might have already completed everything Days Gone, developer Bend Studio's open world zombie apocalypse where you play a biker just trying to get by, has to offer, the upcoming New Game Plus mode will let you go through it all again with the skills and toys you picked up along the way.

On September 13, Bend Studios will let you restart the game and keep hold of all your weapons, bike upgrades, NERO boosters, skills, recipes, encampment trust, and credits. Naturally this gives you quite the advantage, but it also means you can take on each of the game's zombie hordes with all the equipment you'd like. This restart doesn't mean Days Gone will be easier by any stretch, though. You can now play the game in Hard II and Survival II difficulty modes, making for a much tougher experience.

Bend Studios says that the perks you earn from challenges will also carry over into the main game and can be used in New Game Plus and all difficulty modes, so you'll want to get gold in all those games to be your strongest when it comes to the new game mode.

If you want a real challenge, then you can also start a fresh game on those new extra hard difficulty modes, meaning you'll have to take on the enhanced zombie horde while also contending with the original gear acquisition curve.

There are a couple of rewards that come from playing through the game in these new modes, including trophies to collect and a new weapon to be found somewhere in the world. Bend Studio's isn't saying what it is exactly, only that you'll get it "from an agent that only operates in the shadows".

The new modes are all being released in an update on September 13 - so if you're not picking up Borderlands 3, you'll have something to fill your autumnal evenings.
