The Internet Reacts To First Look At Tom Holland As Nathan Drake In 'Uncharted'

The verdict is in...

It's safe to say that when Tom Holland was first announced for the role of Nathan Drake in the live-action Uncharted movie, the reaction was... tepid. While many of us had already been won over by his performance as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming, there were still people out there who weren't quite convinced he could take on the role that Nolan North had made so iconic in the Naughty Dog games.

Would the boyish Holland be able to bring the same charm and swagger that an actor like Nathan Fillion - a top pick among fans - would have done? It was impossible to say. Fortunately, Holland has only gone on to prove himself time and again as an actor, showing what he can really do in likes of Spider-Man: Far From Home and The Devil All The Time.

In short, it seems that Holland as Drake has a lot more support now than it did even a few months ago. Now, Sony has shared an official first-look at the Spider-Man actor in character as Nathan Drake, and it's safe to say that anyone who was previously on the face will probably find themselves won over - the dude looks the part, even if is shirt should be 50% more tucked in.

As you can see from the tweets below, the consensus is Very Good Indeed.

Of course there are still few naysayers out there who think that Holland looks a little too young, or that he won't be quite right for the part, or that he isn't Nathan Fillion... but how much can we really judge from one still image? Hopefully it won't be long before we get a trailer, at which point people can really start diving in and complaining.
