Pokimane Panics Over Possible Ban Following Nudity On Stream

Imane 'Pokimane' Anys has been left panicking over a possible ban from Twitch after inadvertently showing nudity in the middle of a stream.

Anys was watching an episode of the popular Food Wars anime when one of its characters appeared completely in the buff. Clearly, the streamer wasn't expecting this NSFW intrusion. But hey, that's why you don't watch anime during a Twitch stream. Unless you've seen it already, you probably have no idea what weird crap is about to go down.

Dexerto reports that Anys has been trying to get into Twitch's bizarre show-watching meta, in which people watch streamers watching shows. No, I don't get it either.

Given Twitch's pretty strict guidelines on sexual content and nudity, watching an anime you know nothing about could be considered something of an extreme sport. But that didn't stop Anys from happily popping on an episode of Food Wars (a fun slice-of-life anime about chefs) on the recommendation of her viewers.

“I’ve heard a lot about Food Wars, I’d like to watch that,” the streamer said. “I’ve watched it once or twice, I remember it being good. Oh my god, I’m going to be so hungry.”

Unfortunately, mere seconds into the stream, an embarrassed Anys was forced to shut the show off. The streamer was fully blindsided when one of the show's female characters took a bite of food that was so good it blew her clothes off. Anime is weird.

While the nudity in question was hardly sexual in nature and really quite PG, it was enough to cause Anys to hastily apologise to viewers as she scrambled to turn the clip off.

“Oh my god, sorry! Oh god, I’m so sorry!” the streamer half laughed, half yelled in shock.

“Every streamer should know not to watch anime live,” one viewer commented, while another joked that a “big tiddy anime character” was going to be responsible for “ending Pokimane’s whole career.”

At the time of writing Twitch hasn't taken any action against Anys for the accidental nudity, and it's unlikely it will. Still, the streamer has said she's learned the hard way to "think twice" about what she's putting on screen.
