Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys may have already leaked her next career step live on stream after teasing the announcement. The Twitch streamer was talking to peer Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel when she might have let her announcement slip - but is all as it seems?
Pokimane has been teasing a big announcement with tweets indicating what time we should all tune in. She says: “biggest announcement of my career. tomorrow at 10 AM PST” which is about 18:00 BST. After the significant controversy surrounding Valkyrae’s new business, RFLCT, it feels like a lot of people are waiting to see if Pokimane’s new project will be considered legitimate by Twitch audiences.

As reported by Ginx, a clip of xQc’s channel after the teaser tweet shows the two content creators having a pretty casual conversation when Félix asks Pokimane what her next day will look like. She says she’s going to get up early and “announce my comp- my comp- my announcement”. She’s obviously, at this point, realised she shouldn’t say her company and stops herself, but it’s too late. She’s hinted that she has a new company.

However, I’m not sure this was an accident. Though live streamers regularly do and say things live that they shouldn’t - xQc especially is known for trying to prank his audiences and make things happen on stream that seem like ‘leaks’. I would not be surprised if this had been discussed between the two of them before the conversation to drive just a little more interest in what her company is.
Pokimane is already involved in businesses outside of Twitch. She’s one of the creative directors of Cloak, a clothing business started by Markiplier and Jacksepticeye to make clothing for gamers, so she has experience in running a company. What this announcement is, we have no idea, but we do look forward to finding out more later today.
