So, the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake still exists. That’s really the news here, I’m not even kidding. A new post on Twitter for the upcoming game looked as if it was going to be a development delay or something that would potentially be an issue for fans, but no - the post is just a reminder that the game is coming out.
The post reads as follows: “Hello Prince of Persia fans! We want to take a moment to reassure you that the development of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is still underway, motivated and inspired by your feedback. We will update you on our progress in the future and want to thank all of you for your unwavering support and patience. The Dev Team.”
Here’s the reveal trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake…
I mean, it’s nice to know the game is still going ahead at least. It was intended for release back in March 2021 but was delayed indefinitely back in February. We haven’t heard all that much from the developers since the announcement and some footage showing us the comparison between the original and the remake. But even if it is nice to know that the game is still coming out, we’re scarred by delay posts and hate that its continued development was announced in this way.

We’re not exactly sure when colourful yet heavily worded images became the standard of delays but they are. What might come to mind are the continued delays that Cyberpunk 2077 had which made us all fear the appearance of neon yellow on our timelines. However, in this case, this one time, the message is a nice reassuring one. So hopefully we’ll hear more about the release of the remake in 2022, as it looks like this is the last we’ll hear of it for this year.
