PS Plus Games For April Confirmed By Sony

Roll up, roll up, that time has rolled around once more. Sony have officially confirmed the lineup of "free" games PS Plus subscribers can get their hands on in April and…they’re exactly the ones we expected they’d be. Thanks, leakers.

Anyway, there’s some interesting choices ahead, so let’s take a look at everything on the way next month. No doubt some people will be mad, but that’s just gamers for ya. Great month for fans of sponges, anyway.

Starting 5 April, subscribers will be able to grab the PS5 or PS4 version of Hood: Outlaws & Legends - an action-packed multiplayer game where “rival gangs compete in daring heists to hit the wealthy where it hurts”.

Check out the trailer for Hood: Outlaws & Legends below.

Next up, and on a slightly lighter note, is SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated - the PS4 remake of the classic platformer, which, as Sony write, has been rebuilt in “spongetastic splendor”. That’s surely all you need to know about that one.

Finally, we have the excellent Slay the Spire. This brilliant title combines roguelikes and card games together in one glorious package, and the result is some endlessly addictive gameplay. Definitely pick this one up while you have the chance.

You have until 4 April to add March’s freebies to your library - those are Ark: Survival Evolved, Team Sonic Racing, Ghostrunner (for PS5 users) and Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, by the way. It’s also been confirmed that Persona 5 will be leaving the PS Plus Collection on 11 May, so be sure to grab that while you can, too (you’ll be able to play it as long as you have an active PS Plus subscription even after it’s been removed if you claim it before then).
