So, the swanky overhauled version of PS Plus just keeps on hitting hurdles. Ever since the service’s launch back in June (May in some Asian countries), there’ve been a number of issues raised, including the fact that many of the classic games in the library were PAL ROMs as opposed to the superior NTSC versions, and that users on the PC app were left unable to start some games altogether.

Yesterday, the latest additions to the Extra and Premium tier game libraries became available, giving subscribers access to a generous handful of Assassin’s Creed titles and the brand-new indie gem Stray, amongst others. One of these has also brought with it yet another annoying problem, which is currently plaguing users.

Take a look at some new gameplay footage for Stray below.

As reported by VGC, certain subscribers have been completely blocked from downloading the PS5 title Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. Basically, if you already owned the regular, non-DLC version of Final Fantasy VII Remake (due to upgrading from the PS4 version), trying to claim the Intergrade version will give an error message, which reads: “You already own the following products, which conflict with the product you’re trying to buy: Final Fantasy VII Remake.”

This isn’t exactly a completely new issue - as VGC writes, anyone who previously upgraded from the PS4 to the PS5 version of FF7R has always been unable to buy the full Intergrade game, they simply had to buy the Intermission DLC separately. Which, up to now, has been fair enough, given that the rest of the game is the exact same. Now though, it means that a number of subscribers have been left unable to access the DLC for free, when other people who’ve never played the game before are able to check out the whole package.

At the time of writing, no fix has been offered for affected users, but NME reports that one person had a response from PlayStation Support which claimed that the team are working on the issue, and that people should “wait and try later on”. So, it seems that something is happening - just sit tight.
