Gamer Survives Bullet To The Head Thanks To Razer Headset

"I'm still in shock"

A gamer has claimed that their Razer headset ended up saving their life when it deflected a stray bullet that flew into their room from a nearby window.

18-year-old Reddit user Enough_Dance_956 from Torrance, Canada shared the details of their horrifying near-death experience on Reddit, along with a picture of a Razer headset that looks like it lost an argument with a bullet.

Enough says that, after recovering from the incredible shock of having a bullet bounce off the side of their head, they were able to locate the stray slug on their bed. They swiftly filed a report with the police, and the authorities arrived to collect the bullet and look into where the shot might have come from. No arrests have been made at this time.

"Hello to everyone who sees this," Enough_Dance_956 wrote on Reddit. "I'm trying to get a hold of someone at Razer to thank them with all my heart. Wednesday morning at 10:30am a stray bullet went through my window and hit the Razer headphones on top of my head. If it wasn't for the headphones made with good quality I would've been a dead kid at the age of 18. I couldn't even imagine all the pain my family and friends would've been through."

Given that this story was posted on April 1, it's been met with some skepticism. However, the Reddit user has responded to those unsure about the story's validity with pictures of the bullet, the damage from one of the walls it bounced off, and the window it came through.

A Razer spokesperson has also confirmed to PC Gamer that it was not an elaborate April Fool's prank on the part of the company, and that they have already reached out to the victim to get them a replacement headset and wish them well.
