Years after it was released, players are still discovering secrets in the wild west world of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Released in 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Red Dead Redemption 2 instantly became one of Rockstar Games’ best titles of all time surpassing its 2010 predecessor in almost every way. Set before the events of the original Red Dead Redemption, the (pre)sequel told the story of Arthur Morgan, a leading member of the Dutch van de Linde gang. It was a compelling story from start to finish that even brought a tear to many eyes.

It doesn't matter how you choose to spend your time in Red Dead Redemption 2, there is a seemingly an endless amount of fun to be had whether you’re indulging in its main campaign, its side-stories, tracking legendary animals or being an infamous bounty hunter. What’s more, despite being released well over five years ago, I could jump into Red Dead Redemption 2 and probably discover something new, just like the Reddit user that is the topic of today’s discussion.

“I'm still finding details in this game. I'd never noticed the fear in the horse's eyes,” said Reddit user Important_Monitor832, igniting the discussion on the thread. To be honest, I’ve not noticed this either, though to be fair, I’ve felt no need to look this closely at the horses of Red Dead Redemption 2.
“That photo’s straight up “fire”!” joked MythicalMicrowave, responding to the image of the panicked horse. “There's also either drool or icicles forming around a horse's mouth when galloping for some time. It's easy to see in cinematic mode,” spiderknight616 shared.

“So many of the horse details amaze me. They sweat when they run at a gallop for extended periods. The way you can see their breath in the cold. The handling while riding is sensational. It’s a masterpiece,” replied BaristaHeyMister.
No doubt, we’ll learn even more secrets of Red Dead Redemption 2 before the third numbered entry in the series arrives, whenever that may be. Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now and it’s also backwards compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
