With a Red Dead Redemption 2 sequel being somewhat of a distant dream, players are making do with exploring the 2018 action-adventure game in an effort to find all the hidden details Rockstar hid within.
Despite being released over five years ago, it doesn’t appear we will be getting a Red Dead Redemption 3 any time soon. This isn’t surprising considering Rockstar is hard at work on developing Grand Theft Auto 6 but in the meantime, players are not slowing down in their quest to find all the hidden details within the desert landscape of Red Dead Redemption 2.

One feature that may have gone unnoticed by the majority of players is the ability to explore Mexico. Now know what you may be thinking and no, this is without the use of mods! However, you will need to take advantage of one small glitch.
The glitch was discovered by Youtuber ZacCoxTV who made the video ‘How to get to Mexico in Red Dead Redemption 2’ back in 2018. Despite the glitch being fairly old, it is still one overlooked by players and it makes you wonder why Rockstar didn’t just include Mexico in the finished title.
However, if you wish to explore Mexico for yourself, you will have to travel to the most westerly point of New Austin and then ride your horse across the water. By aiming at a prominent rock across the water, you will soon find yourself stumbling across a whole new country. Simply trot through the narrow canyon, maneuver yourself past the invisible barrier and you should pass through.
Once in Mexico, you will be able to explore somewhat to your heart’s content including stumbling across a few sights and even a prison from Red Dead Redemption. However, stray too far and you will ‘die’ and ultimately respawn back on the main map.

This exploit just goes to show that there could still be secrets to discover within Red Dead Redemption 2 for those smart enough to find them.
