'Resident Evil 4' Remake Details Leak, And A Lot Is Different

'Resident Evil 4' Remake Details Leak, And A Lot Is Different

Information about a Resident Evil 4 remake was previously leaked by Wesker's voice actor and now new details have surfaced.

Following the success of the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 it was never going to be long until Capcom gave the same treatment to the most popular edition in the series; Resident Evil 4. The game is so popular that fans spent eight years working to rework the third person shooter into a HD version. The game has already been remade in first person by Capcom for VR, taking with it a number of outdated dialogue and animations.

Rumours of a Resident Evil 4 remake were never more wild than when the voice actor who claims to be playing the remake's Albert Wesker, leaked supposed concept art on his stream. Now an anonymous source has leaked more information about the rumoured remake, and if they are to be believed, it will feel a completely new game.

If you wondered what Resident Evil 4 looked like in VR then you can check out our footage here.

According to the new information it will remain a third person survival horror game, but much like the remake of three, there will be a lot more action oriented segments. There has apparently been a lot of work on character development, with Ashley, Luis and Saddler all getting more dedicated story. Speaking of Ashley, she is rumoured to have a new design and will become a useful partner distracting enemies and helping unlock doors. The village has apparently been fleshed out too.

It's not all additions though, some things have also be supposedly cut. The Assignment Ada section is rumoured to be scrapped, along with a few of the boss fights. Other fights have supposedly been redesigned with a whole new final boss. While all these leaks would certainly pique any fan's interests, it should be noted that they came from anonymous message board 4chan. 4chan has certainly been right on a number of leaks, however it has been wrong a whole lot more. Until Capcom confirms anything, I would advise taking this leak with a large pinch of salt.
