SEGA Is Now Selling Sonic The Hedgehog Cologne

Smell like the blue blur.

Have you ever woken up one morning and thought to yourself, “I wonder what Sonic the Hedgehog smells like?" Or perhaps in the darkest depths of night, you’ve woken in a cold sweat knowing you’ll never quite smell blue enough? Well fear no longer, all your prayers have been answered with SEGA’s new line of colognes.

SEGA announced on Twitter that it was going to be selling, Yakuza, Shenmue and Sonic the Hedgehog unisex Cologne. Yes, you can smell like the blue blur if you really want. The three perfumes are already on the SEGA shop for preorder and cost £29.99 each. What a treat, and right in time for Christmas right?

The Sonic The Hedgehog scent is described on the website as having “an aroma of fresh citrus, a zing of grapefruit zest and exotic lemon and lime, topped with the scene of the ocean breeze and chilled melon fade. Take pleasure in the rich base tones of leather, suede, and cedar.” They even claim Sonic has approved it himself.

If that’s too fast for you, how about we slow down with the Yakuza scent instead? The site says: “This fragrance flaunts a deep and mysterious scent of antique oak, cedarwood, beeswax infused with smoky bourbon, leathery rose and scorching pimento.” Delicious.

And finally, the Shenmue edition's description says: “Enjoy this rich fragrance with top notes of clashing cardamom and bergamot, smouldering golden tobacco, deep orris and a strong patchouli base.” Spicy.

Though I can’t say I’m much in the market for gaming perfume, I’m already sort of tempted to buy one of these for the fun of having it on my shelf. Now I think about it, I just want someone to tell me I smell nice and then I can tell them I smell of Sonic the Hedgehog.
