Leaked ‘Skate 4’ Footage Shows Massive Fun City Multiplayer Map

Leaked ‘Skate 4’ Footage Shows Massive Fun City Multiplayer Map

Further Skate 4 footage has leaked online, and it shows the game's Fun City multiplayer space.

Do you remember the dark days when we thought that Skate 4, officially titled skate, had been lost to the abyss? After months of radio silence, we now know that skate is still coming and oh boy, the updates are coming thicker and faster than we ever could’ve imagined.

Just last week, we finally got a glimpse at some official footage. Admittedly, it was what the devs deemed “pre-pre-pre-alpha” footage but still, it was exciting to finally see skate’s gameplay in action. If you’re itching for more, your prayers have been answered as further skate footage has leaked online.

Check out the brand new gameplay trailer for skate below. Players can sign up for the playtest right now.

Reddit user Parzalai took to the site to showcase a series of videos capturing further skate pre-alpha gameplay footage - and the videos appear to support and back up what we already know.

Back in April, details of skate’s rumoured multiplayer mode were leaked online. Industry insider Jeff Grub noted that the “collaborative environment” would allow players to hang out with their friends, perform tricks, and customise their own skate park. Well, this is something we see in one of the videos posted by Parzalai.

The huge multiplayer space is known as Fun City and as shown in the footage, players can use a build kit to modify and personalise the space. The footage also suggests that skate will contain a spectator mode so players can see what’s happening across Fun City, where they will then be able to instantly teleport to another area of the space.

Parzalai also notes that despite the fact that the game is far from complete, the “animations are pristine” and the “tricks are great.” The user points out that the ‘on foot’ gameplay is a particular highlight. As always, this has to be taken with a pinch of salt until EA officially provides further details on the game but it sure does look like Skate 4.
