'Skyrim' Anniversary Update Is Getting Brand-New Content

Home decoration is getting an upgrade.

If you somehow didn't know already, Skyrim turns ten this year. I know! Time is a really messy concept, right? But I digress, Bethesda's hit RPG is turning a decade old and what better way to celebrate the game than to release it once again in the form of the Anniversary Edition. Most of what we knew about the new version of the game was that it contained a new fishing mechanic, but wait where are we going to even put said fish? Well in your new aquarium of course.

PCGamesN spotted a new tweet from Bethesda that shows off one of the new features of Skyrim Anniversary Edition - aquariums. And if you're like me, you might think of something more like the Animal Crossing: New Horizons museum, but in reality, it's more that you can build your own.

Here our some of our favourite Skyrim wins and fails…

A tweet teasing the new feature says: "Don't tap on the glass. They don't like that… Add an aquarium to your Hearthfire homes in Skyrim Special/Anniversary Edition on November 11 for all your fresh catches." What a nice little feature, right?

We're not quite sure how many fish varieties we'll have to collect but from the gif attached in the tweet, it looks like there is quite the variety. And not only is it a nice collectable to chase but it does make your home look rather suave, like a high-end Scandinavian restaurant. Yes, I'm already thinking about how to cook my pets, I mean fish.

In any case, we're pretty excited to once again be "finally awake" in the back of a cart taking us to our execution. And then spend a hundred hours on quests we've seen before but still love completing task by task. Skyrim Anniversary Edition is out on November 11.
